harris county gop is now grope

The Harris County GOP is now GROPE.

The Harris County Republican Party should now be called GROPE. Gross

Racist Old Perverted Elected officials. From KHOU in Houston:

First, there were intimate emails to his executive secretary. Now

11 News has obtained hundreds of other Chuck Rosenthal e-mails,

some that are racially and sexually charged.

What KHOU uncovered should be enough for any elected official to

resign or for his party to demand that he resigns, but then again this

is the GROPE. This is pretty sick stuff for an elected official

especially from the "family values" party.

The very day after, Siegler e-mailed Rosenthal a video of

unsuspecting women attacked on public streets. Men wearing hooded

sweatshirts and sunglasses rip their clothes off, leaving them

stunned and naked in public.

Look for Rosenthal to resign before the end of the day. Gross

Republican bastard.

John: Interesting that you don't link the story you quote

extensively. Could it be that it contained something along the

lines of what is in the Chronicle story on the matter?

The latest batch of 730

e-mails was met with concern by Harris County GOP leaders, who

had already successfully pressured him to abandon his

re-election bid.

"It's time for Chuck Rosenthal to pack his bags and leave,"

said county GOP Chairman Jared Woodfill.

So you see, the Harris County GOP leadership did quickly call

for Rosenthal's resignation, once they found out about the

emails.

Of course, you fail to show enough honesty and integrity to

note that -- because it would get in the way of the entire

premise of your post.

Of course Woodfill wants him to leave. What else could he say?

On the other hand, John's point is largely correct. The

Republican Party has had more than its share of hypocrites who

preach one thing and then do the exact opposite.

Another scandal involving immoral behavior by a Republican

elected official, particularly the DA for heaven's sakes, does

not bode well for their continued dominance of Harris County

politics. Maybe Jared sees the writing on the wall. Or maybe he

can wait and let the voters show him.

Jared is an embarrassment to the harris county Republican

party. He should be asked to resign.

If he DOESN'T call for the DAs resignation, he should turn in

his.

He should also call for Eversole's resignation. He has

embarrassed the county also.

And for State Representative John Davis' resignation. He has

embarrassed our district.

And if he doesn't, we will.

It must be real tough to defend Rosenthal. One thing about the

republican party, when they cause a problem, they take action

to correct it and then take credit for it.

But now we have people on this blog and on the Chronicle blog

DEFENDING rosenthal and his emails, racists comments, and porn.

You guys are truly sick mo-fos.

John, who is defending Rosenthal on this blog? Please cite

specific instances.

So I see, Matt -- looks like one of John's regular "truth

impairments".

So Greg, as a Republican "influential", have you called

Rosenthal's office to ask that he step down? Has your blog

commented on the issue?

Since john is so concerned about racism, sexism, and

corruption, I'm waiing for him to call upon the following

elected Democrats to step down.

Rick Noriega

Melissa Noriega

Robert Byrd

Ted Kennedy

William Jefferson

Nancy Pelosi

Barbara Boxer

Diane Feinstein

Harry Reid

John Murtha

etc.

Or do standards only apply to Republicans?

Hypocrite standards only apply to Republicans.

Since the GrOPe are a bunch of hypocrites.

Greg, wipe your own butt before complaining about others.

John, it is clear that we cannot argue with Greg using logic or

facts. Only partisan hatred matters with that man.

Fortunately, he and his ilk (and was there ever a more apt

word?) are part of an already small, and still declining

minority - none too soon, either.

ignore him - the way the rest of the country is ignoring the

neo-cons and the religious nutcases. Hell, even Republican

Kelly Siegler figured that part out.

Thank you, John, for admitting what we already knew -- a

Democrat can do anything he/she/it wants and you will defend

that individual and support their continuation in office.

Indeed, the only way that you can say that the charge of

hypocrisy does not apply to Democrats is to acknowledge that

you folks have no standards to violate, and that it is

therefore anything goes. So when Rick and Melissa get cited by

the Ethics Commission, it really isn't a big deal because of

the big (D) after their names.

By the way -- if it is partisan hatred that makes me criticize

the corrupt, what is it when John does the same?

I agree with John.

Wipe your own butt before complaining about what stinks.

A lesson that John needs to take to heart before hypocritically

trying to teach it to others.

Greg you are acting like a 13 year old who farts then blames it

on everyone one.

Just remember, he who smelt it, dealt it.

Deal with it.

How poetic, John. Are you capable of discussing politics

without bringing your scatological and masturbatory obsessions

into the arena?

I'm working to clean up my party, John.

What are you doing to clean up yours?

Yep, the GOP's stranglehold on Harris County is coming to an

end, but will it be any different when the DNC takes over? Will

it be any different when the GOP takes over from the DNC later

on?

Here's a better idea: eliminate party affiliations in city and

county races. Let every candidate stand or fall on his or her

won merit or demerit.

It has the virtue of not having been tried before.
