guitarras de opera =D

hahazx. guess wad i did today.

played badminton again..

yepzx. had piano lesson @10..

and my teacher agreed to give me a lift

to safra toa payoh after lesson ended @10.45.

yea. and badminton was fun today.

had lunch after dat and reached church @3pm

for a prayer meet for the upcomin' youth camp.

yepzx. after dat.

some guys went to watch Madasgacar..

hahazx. did i spell it correctly??

Well, dudley and i decided not to follow 'em

and we decided to go guitar-browsin' instead.

when we were abt to reach novena mrt,

ben seck called and told us he wanted to come along.

so haha. the three of us went to

Excelsior Hotel, Singapore's "Guitar Hub"

Yepzx. we reached there at around 5pm?

and we went to find Timothy Tan @Living Strings.

haha. that same guy who forgot

that he was supposed to help out during the amazing race.

yepZ. he was there.

and yea. we had a vErrI long chat. hahazx.

and he actually drilled 5 lil round holes on his guitar?!

it was supposed to help in projection of sound

and yea. i guess it made a significant difference.

maybe i should drill holes on my guitar too.. =D

And Timothy Tan taught us some info on guitars.

the woods used, construction, etc.

and i muz say, i learned quite a fair bit.

He also played some pieces

and haha. we were of coz

veRri Impressed. =D

and yea. we were like his audience for abt an hour??

wow. it felt like a few minutes to me..

his "talk" was really interesting =D

and yea. at around 6.

some guys walked in. and he ended his "talk"

haha and we juz browsed around his shop,

played wif the guitars and stuff...

then around 6.30.

we went into a special room in the shop

where the more ex guitars are kept. haha

those really nice guitars.

there was a really nice Lakewood guitar

inside there which costs $2800.

and dudley was like playin for quite a long time on a guit.

hahazx. i thot it was some cheaper $700 guitar.

until i took a closer look.

It was a Breedlove Atlas! hahazx.

That wooden box should cost no less den 2k.

hahazx. yea we had loads of fun..

when we went out of the room.

timothy was chatting with one of his close fren.

that guy is a guitar teacher at Cristofori

and he is a Opera Singer as well!

and Timothy Tan persuaded him to perform an opera

item for us and he did!

He played the guitar and sang realllii well.

REalli gd expressions and singing techniques.

hahzx. that was not the main course yet.

after dat song, he put down the guitar

and sang a really powerful italian opera song.

Wow wow wow wow wow...

I thot such gd opera singers dun exist in Singapore.

hahazx and he has his own ablum too. =D

hahazx. so we left living strings at around 7??

very impressed by Timothy and his fren..

hahazx. yea.

I guess we had much more fun in Living Strings

than we could ever imagine having

if we had watched Madagascar...

I muz say Timothy tan is a really nice guy..

accomodatin' us in his shop for like 2 hours?

with us touching, playin those ex guitars

and making lotsa noise.
